Due to covid-19 we have been in isolation for many days even months. But during isolation 10M Social Studies we have been learning about leadership and government  and what makes a good leader. I have thought very hard because there are so many people who have change the world in very different ways weather it's picking up rubbish or going to school as a full time worker just to teach kids about knowledge they might or might not  even  know. I have chosen a leader like Hone Heke why is this it's because  he cared about his people's interest while being a powerful Ngapuhi leader. what would you like in a leader. A leader  who was selfish and didn't care about anyone but himself or a leader who listened to what you had to say, I would pick  a leader who listened to what you had to say. who would be your leader and why ???

  1. Hi Poppy. Nice way to step out of the square and use your choice of leader to knowledge a Rangatira in the eyes of many. I really liked how you put a couple of questions in there for the reader to think about. Keep up the excellent work.

  2. Tena koe Poppy

I agree Hone Heke was a very strong leader. All that he stood for, his values and the actions he took will always be remembered.

I'd have to say my favourite leader is Jacinda Ardern our Primeminister. I like how she values humanity and encourages us to be kind to one another. I think she did a fantastic job at leading the country through Covid-19, there are many leaders around the world responsible for much bigger countries who have experienced chaos.
What about you? Which leaders stood out the best for you during Covid19?
By the way, how did you find learning online from home?
